Ernesto I. Yutadco (51) will take over the position of President/General Manager (GM) for Manila-based crew service provider and manning agency ZEABORN Marine Services (Philippines). Corp. (“ZMSP”). In his new role, he will be responsible to oversee a wide range of crew operations tasks from personnel development & training, briefing &de-briefing, crew change operations, recruitment, vacation & relief planning up to crew protection & indemnity (P&I) handling, healthcare assistance and overall, to oversee the employee, crew and family welfare as a whole.

To further develop the business, recruiting and retention with qualified seafarers in the Philippines, Ernesto I. Yutadco adds a high level of dedication, integrity, commitment, courtesy, determination and reliability to his 32 years of expertise in the maritime business. Furthermore, he has a high level of intercultural collaboration and leadership while speaking fluent English and Japanese in addition to Tagalog.
He started his seagoing career on gas carriers, VLCC’s and bulk carriers for Japanese shipping companies after which he worked on shore as a Training and Crewing Officer, including his experience as Marine Superintendent, he was able to provide crew and training activities on a larger scale for seminars and conferences attended by multinational staff and seafarers. After that he became a certified DNV Internal Auditor and Maritime Instructor prior establishing the Singapore branch of MOL Shipmanagement, which provides crew management services for seafaring pool of the dry cargo fleet.
After joining one of our predecessor companies, Rickmers Ship Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. in late 2010, he was appointed Global Head of Crew Management for all Rickmers Group crew activities in 2014 where he oversaw the restructuring of the Global Crew and Training Management Organization, amongst others.
Prior boarding our Manila office as the new President / General Manager, Ernesto opened and managed CMA CGM’s Crew Agency in Manila, which operates local crew management activities for CMA CGM’s and APL’s fleet. Moreover, he has previously been responsible for the Catering Service Group under Magsaysay Group of Companies after the management of technical merchant and cruise seafarers under Magsaysay Maritime Corp. as the Marine Group Head and Vice President with a total of 473 vessels and 13,870 crew members, before taking the helm at ZEABORN Marine Services (Philippines). Corp. (“ZMSP”).
