Today marks an important milestone for ZEABORN Ship Management, with the MV ‘Federal Skeena’ joining our ship management fleet. She is the first in a series of four handysize geared bulk carrier vessels for which Zeaborn has been mandated to perform ship management services for Fednav.

After a comprehensive tendering process by Fednav, Canada’s largest dry bulk shipping company, Zeaborn convinced the tender board with its holistic lifecycle ship management approach.

Fednav operates the largest fleet of ice-class bulk carriers worldwide with around 120 vessels on the water. Its mission is to deliver the highest level of service, professionalism, and reliability in the international ocean shipping industry with unwavering consistency and integrity.

Michael Brandhoff, CEO of Zeaborn Ship Management, comments: “I am excited and humbled to have the opportunity to work with a company like Fednav. We have always said that we want to become long-term partners of our clients, an integral part of their organization, tasked with executing their business. Working for and with Fednav proves that we are on the right track, and with the takeover of the first vessel, we have our work cut out to prove our worth.”

Martin Krafft, VP Fleet at Fednav, says: “We are looking forward to adding Zeaborn’s expertise to our Fleet Management Service Provider base. This will further strengthen our capabilities to provide our clients with the best possible service offering for their unique ocean transportation requirements in an increasingly demanding and complex maritime environment.”
