Hamburg, 29 June 2022 – We are pleased to announce today that our valued customer United Heavy Lift GmbH & Co. KG (“UHL”) has entrusted ZEABORN Ship Management (“ZSM”) with the newbuilding supervision for their two additional F900 Eco-Lifter newbuildings, at the CSSC shipyard in Hudong, China.
In May 2022, UHL announced plans to expand the Eco-Lifter newbuilding program to a total of nineteen vessels. MV “UHL Fresh” and MV “UHL Fable”, vessel no. 18 and no. 19, are expected to join the UHL fleet in 2024. The new and enhanced F900 Eco-Lifter class features high- and low-pressure SCR catalysts to meet IMO Tier III requirements. With minimized CO2 emissions, the vessel class exceeds latest EEDI benchmarks.
Our holistic newbuilding services are an integral part our vessels’ lifecycle ship management approach and features vessel specification & maker’s list review, drawings & technical plan approval, site supervision and shipyard delivery amongst others. The full package will be handled by the dedicated experts of our 100% subsidiary BestShip GmbH & Cie. KG.
Once these vessels hit the waters in 2024, we look forward continuing to support UHL serving their customers one of the most modern, fuel-efficient, and homogeneous heavy lift fleet in the market, with then six vessels of the F-900 series under our full management scope.
