In order to further expand our Technical Fleet Management team, we are looking in Hamburg for a
SUPERINTENDENT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the technical and commercial management of the assigned vessels in our container and bulk carrier fleet
- Regular on-board/ inspection visits and monitoring of vessels’ overall condition, operation and performance
- Plan, supervise and coordinate repairs and shipyard periods
- Prepare and monitor the budget of vessel operating costs and ensure compliance with prescribed regulations
- Coordinate with vessels senior staff and evaluate crew performance
YOUR PROFILE
- Very good technical knowledge and interest in commercial contexts
- Extensive knowledge and experience in general ship operation of Container and/ or Bulk vessel
- Extensive knowledge and experience of project work/ repair projects and class renewals
- Strong analytical, problem solving, time management, decision making and leadership skills
- Communicative, open-minded, good inter-cultural skills and appreciate working in a team
- Highly flexible, stress resistant and able to demonstrate conceptual thinking skills
- Solid knowledge of the legal aspects of shipping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, statistical reporting and database management
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide
