OPERATIONS MANAGER

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial operation of the managed tanker, container/dry bulk/MPP fleet in close cooperation with charterers, owners and the vessels. You will be liaising with the company’s internal departments concerning any vessel information requirements, induce tailored and adequate commercial solutions, and continuously enhance the service quality of ZEABORN Ship Management to its customers.

Your key tasks will involve assisting and supporting the ships commands in performing the voyages under the governing charter parties. You will also be liaising and collaborating with the technical, crewing and marine & quality departments guaranteeing the efficient and effective execution of the charter. Furthermore, you need to closely follow-up and report on vessel performance to ensure it is in-line with company expectations, collect feedback from the vessels, agents and other stakeholders after each call to evaluate and identify areas of improvement and contribute to a professional and efficient claims handling.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for candidates who have several years of professional experience in shipping, ideally in the dry bulk or tanker segment with a nautical background or in vessel operations, based on a completed training as a shipping merchant. You have good knowledge of charter contracts and the handling of claims. We expect you to be able to deal with international customers confidently and to speak and write English fluently.

You are a strong communicator with the ability to solve critical situations diplomatically. You should ideally be a self-driven team player with a hands-on mentality and have the necessary will and dedication to progress topics in order to achieve the best possible solution for our clients and their customers. If you are also well-structured and want to work independently, we should get to know each other.
